Please follow all these instructions in order to use MondoTalk on your Windows Mobile / CE / Pocket PC device.

1. Setup a FREE account

If you already have a MondoTalk number and password you can skip this step.

  • Go to free account and signup for our free account
  • Check your email for your new MondoTalk account details. Write down or remember your free account details you will need them in the next step

2. Download and install the software

  • Go to: http://www.sjlabs.com/sjp.html
  • Look in section "SJphone for WLAN-PDA with Windows CE(stable):"
  • If these versions are not right they have more pre-release version here: http://www.sjphone.org/preview/
  • Download and install the software on your device
  • Once you have it installed on your device do the following to configure it:
    1. Go to the Options (this is under the Menu,)
    2. When you are in the Options click on the Profile tab:
    3. Click on the New button
    4. Call the profile MondoTalk
    5. Make sure you set the following:
    6. Profile Type: "Calls through SIP proxy"
    7. Click OK

  • Go to the SIP Proxy tab set:
    1. Proxy domain: sip99.mondotalk.com
    2. User domain: sip99.mondotalk.com
    3. Register with proxy: tick/check this
    4. Proxy is strict outbound: no tick/check
  • Now save the profile by clicking on OK.
  • Now it will ask you to enter your MondoTalk account details.
  • Account: Your MondoTalk number (Enter this it the top box if there is no label)
  • Password: Your MondoTalk password (Enter this in the bottom box if there is no label, you will Know it is password box because as you type you will see "*")
  • Back where you saw the profile tab you should see an Audio tab, select this.
  • Disable all codecs except for G.711u and move this one to the top. (A note on this, free version of this software only support G.711u to use our Voicemail system you will need G.729a, you can buy this a version with this should you need these type of services)
  • Click OK
  • Now back in the profile tab Highlight MondoTalk and click on use.

You should see the phone register with MondoTalk. Once it has done this you can free call our testing number 9080002. We recommend you use earphones with a MIC as some devices default to using the standard speaker without activating AEC on the microphone, this causes a lot of echo as the microphone picks up every sound the speaker makes.
